Like most photographers I started my journey of story telling as a depressed high schooler looking for meaning in the world and an outlet to voice what I found.

Since then I haven’t lost my deep love for the visual world and all things color palette and aesthetics related.

I reached a point where I went from viewing photography as a hobby to viewing it as something I needed in my life- maybe not in the same way I need food and water, but the same way I need a blanket and a friend. Photography, though I could physically survive without it, is something that feeds my soul, something that- when I create through its medium- I feel God smiling over my shoulder.

And that’s when I realized this career wouldn’t just put food on my table, it would broaden the human experience (as I know it) and allow me to work with people from all walks of life- whether its across the ocean or across the island.

I chose this as part of my career because I don’t want it to be something I find time for after work, I want it to be the work! And I’m honored you’d consider me to be a part of this intimate art form with you.

Everything changes when you don’t just see photos of you as visual landmarks- when, for the first time, you see yourself in a picture and you see art. I want to make people feel something when they look at themselves, their surroundings and their life. Emotions evoked are not reserved for the stories written and acted by someone else, they are for our stories too. And when we use photography as a medium for self-empathy we start to realize we are more than a person whose job is this and wedding date is on this day and is engaged to this person- but we start to see that we are art in the making, the human experience expressed, and we start to realize that we are alive and thats something to celebrate, remember, document and encounter as both object and audience. And that is the beauty of photography that I want to bring to anyone ready for the emotional adventure <3
